Topper FAQ’s
Q. Is the topper capable of dispensing various types of toppings?
A. Yes, from cinnamon sugar to decorettes. A possible change in shaft may be required for certain products or dispensing rates.
Q. What is the maximum width of deposit?
A. The widest Topper to date has been 64".
Q. What are the power requirements?
A. 110V, 220V and 480V models have been made. Other power requirements can be accommodated.
Q. What is the hopper capacity?
A. Approximately one (1) cubic foot per twelve (12") inches of deposit.
Q. Can the hopper be filled automatically?
A. Yes, AXIS offers optional equipment to automatically fill our systems from bags and super sacks with everything from our vacuum refill conveyors to complete bulk bag systems.
Q. What is required to change application rates?
A. Most times only an adjustment to the dispensing shaft speed is required. If a wide range of application rates is required from one machine, an optional Servo package is also available.
Q. What spare parts are recommended?
A. Four (4) shaft seals are recommended. AXIS stocks all non-length-dependent parts for most models since 2000.
Q. Can the Topper be cantilevered over the line?
A. Yes, AXIS can produce a portable C-frame or rail system for easy cleaning and sanitation. Our standard unit comes with conveyor mounts welded to the hopper for easy mounting to your existing conveyor line. Our engineers will work with your engineering or maintenance staff to design a custom mounting frame if necessary.
Q. Is a test unit available?
